These terms govern your use of Recappp. By using our app, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Recappp ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

Recappp is a personal life recap application that helps you visualize your spending, travel, health, and memories. The App:

  • • Reads email receipts to extract transaction data (with your permission)
  • • Syncs with health platforms to display fitness summaries
  • • Analyzes photo metadata to create memory highlights
  • • Generates monthly and yearly recap visualizations

3. Account Registration

To use Recappp, you must sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for:

  • • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • • All activities that occur under your account
  • • Providing accurate information

You must be at least 13 years old to use Recappp. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

4. Optional Integration Data Access

Recappp offers optional integrations with third-party services. All such integrations are consent-based and user-initiated.

Gmail Integration

  • • Gmail access is optional and not required to use the App
  • • You will see a separate Google consent screen before Gmail access is granted
  • • We only access email data to extract receipts and travel confirmations
  • • You can disconnect Gmail at any time through Settings → Connected Accounts
  • • Upon disconnection, we immediately stop accessing your Gmail data

Other Integrations (Spotify, Health, etc.)

  • • Each integration requires your explicit consent via the service's OAuth flow
  • • You control which integrations to enable or disable
  • • Data from integrations is used solely to provide the App's features
  • • Integration data is never sold or shared for advertising purposes

By enabling an integration, you grant us permission to access and process data from that service as described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke this permission at any time.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Recappp offers the following subscription plans:

  • • Free: Basic features with limited history (last 3 months)
  • • Plus ($0.99/year): Unlimited history, all themes, watermark-free sharing
  • • Pro ($10.99/year or $1.11/month): All features, premium exports, priority support

Billing Terms

  • • Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
  • • Payment is charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase
  • • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • • Prices are in USD and may vary by region based on app store pricing

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:

  • • You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • • Your subscription will not renew at the next billing cycle
  • • Your account will revert to the Free tier after the paid period ends
  • • Your data will be retained according to our data retention policy

How to Cancel Your Subscription:

  • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → Recappp → Cancel Subscription
  • Android: Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → Recappp → Cancel Subscription

Note: Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your device's app store.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies. We cannot process refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact the app store where you made the purchase.

Free Trials

If offered, free trial periods are subject to the terms displayed at the time of signup. At the end of a free trial, you will be automatically charged for the subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • • Use the App for any illegal purpose
  • • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • • Use automated systems to access the App without permission
  • • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • • Misrepresent your identity or authorization to access data

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Recappp is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

You retain ownership of your personal data. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for users in the European Union.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Recappp and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • • Copy or reproduce the App or its components
  • • Use our trademarks without permission
  • • Create derivative works based on the App

You retain all rights to your personal data. We do not claim ownership of any user content or data you provide to the App.

9. Disclaimers

Recappp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • • The accuracy of transaction or health data extracted
  • • Compatibility with all devices or platforms
  • • Continuous availability of third-party integrations

Recappp is for informational purposes only and should not be used as financial, health, or legal advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recappp and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting support. Upon deletion:

  • • Your account will be immediately deactivated
  • • Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • • Any active subscriptions should be cancelled separately via the app store
  • • OAuth tokens for connected services will be revoked

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

12. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for material changes when possible.

Third-party integrations (such as Gmail, Spotify, or Health services) are subject to the terms and availability of those respective services.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

For users in the European Union, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights under your local law.

14. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
